I can't afford Ivory either. Mine are some kind of resin. They are slimmer than the grips I have on it now so I don't know if I'll keep them.
Did you get yours at Altamont?

Here’s another of the 1st one

@kevin Keith I have a couple Elmer Keith and Bill Jordan books. Skeeter stuff must be way out of print, you ever read his books or just articles in gun rags?

I have several grips from Altamont.
They have the best grips at by far the best prices.
But, in 2018 I had an issue with them.
I ordered the GP100 compact rubber grips with Silverblack inserts. What I got was pitch black grips. If you hold a bright light real close you can see the stripes but without very close, very bright light, they are ink black.
I emailed them about the issue and they said "no problem, just send them back(at my cost) and we will replace them."
Then he added that due to their dying process, the new grips may be just like the ones im returning.
I emailed back and asked if there was a way to make sure I get the product I ordered. He replied, "No, you get what you get."
Hmmmm, poor quality control AND poor customer service. Im not a complainer so I just dropped it and kept them. I also have not bought anything from them sinse.
The top picture is what I ordered.
The middle picture is what I got.
Third picture is with my camera flash where you can make out the stripes. In "real" life they are glossy black. Which would have been less expensive from them.

Hell yes! I loved Guns and Ammo (Elmer) and Shooting Times (Skeeter) all through the 1970s! I always turned to their articles and columns first. I have a few of their books too. There is a lot of Skeeter’s stuff at darkcanyon.net.

Speaking of gun rags, this is from MAD. lol
