Sitting in my chair feeling miserable. Doc says sinus infection. Antibiotics are on the way.

You sound like you could use some chicken soup.

My hot toddy recipe when I want to warm my hands in winter:

Take a pint glass. Add two ounces of well whiskey. Fill the rest with hot water and then about a teaspoonful of lemon juice.

I have to spell this out to new bartenders every winter.

Though a toddy sounds lovely, I can't taste anything...so it would be kind of a waste.

Have I mentioned that I am hosting a pop-up art market in my back garden during Jazz Fest? I may as well make some money.

I am thinking of planting geraniums for this art market. Along with the chickens, geraniums will make everything look more festive. I have it in my mind that the Nazis planted geraniums along the path to the gas chambers to make the walk seem more pleasant and normal. I don't remember why I think this but I think it is true.

I like geraniums. I am not clearing this with Mrs. King. I am sure she doesn't like geraniums. She is my complimentary antipode.
