Final Polish on the stem was with Brebbia Stem Polish and 2500 grit. Used a White Wood Filler Pencil to fill in the Logos. I used a wood stain on the rim. This pipe was well used and now has a new life. The screw in stem is a little overclocked. I’ll deal with it if it bothers me.

Thanks @MikeDennison ! Forgot to mention the obvious, I sanded the rim down almost even. No belt sander so all manual. Not perfect but it has some character from the past I think.

Well, from what I can see from the pics it turned out good. As for the overclocked stem; I've had several old pipes like that. As long as the bowl isn't too cock-eyed when I'm trying to smoke, I don't mind it.

While I find this interesting, it is nothing I would ever do myself. I am living vicariously through your restoration escapade. It seems like you are doing it right.

Look at all the cake you reamed out of that bowl! It was ripe.
