How Tobacco came to America

Classic Newhart phone bit.

Not to nit pick, but, shouldn't the thread be titled How Tobacco Came to England?

Out of Tobacco !

Depends on what type of English.. Old English, like the type spoken by some Germanic tribes residing along the north sea, did not originate in England.. but they did bring it there as settlers. Middle and modern English though.. England gets most of the credit(with a hat-tip to some Norman invaders...

Out of Tobacco !

I buy more than I smoke.

Tobaccos are like shiny trinkets to me.

See it, buy it, jar it up, totally forget about it. Smoke more Carter Hall.

OK, it's not quite that bad...

Dunhill SU 21 Shell Double Patent (1928). Same year my father was born. I’ve got a 1969 Dunhill for my birth year and have been wanting to add a 1928 for a while.
That is awesome. Congratulations.

Vauen is probably your best bet on that one. They make a number of them.
Yes, thanks. I've checked these out. But unfortunately, neither the military bit nor the hobbit stem are in my wheelhouse.

Seafaring Blend?

Planning to head out on the ocean for a fishing trip. Not sure which tobacco to bring along.

Most of my fishing is done in the Sierras. Carter Hall always hits the spot along a stream.

However, I'm wondering which tobacco would do well in the salt air? Maybe a stiff English?

Show Off Your Wristwatches!

Well, the Covid cured me of wearing watches underneath my wrist. Sitting at a desk all day means your watch gets banged on said desk quite a bit.

Here's a recent acquisition: Late 60's Wyler Railroad.
