Re: Whatcha Doin'?

Currently watching the first in an Alfred Hitchcock collection I recently purchased... "The Lady Vanishes"... with quite a few interesting pipe designs showcased. Almost as much pipe smoking here as the ol' Sherlock Holmes flicks. McLovin it!

Re: Whatcha Doin'?

Was just reading something that my mother sent me about our family. Seems that we arrived in Philadelphia in 1766 from Germany and Johann (the first of our family to arrive) served in the Revolutionary War and fathered 10 children. Pretty cool stuff to learn. I don't recall exactly the year my Germ...

Did you know there are rebuses insides the caps of Mickey's Big Mouth bottles?
Yes, I still have one or two "Pipe Down" caps in a box somewhere... has a picture of a pipe and an arrow pointing down.

Re: PSF promotion ..

Or this... Body Ads. We could all chip in a little and see if we could hire some hottie to wear an ad somewhere on her body. Don't know which body part $5 would get us, but I'd be interested in finding out.

Your favorite and/or most sentimental pipe

I only have one pipe that is worth anything to me. My grandpa's old grabow. He used to smoke it and kentucky club when I was a kid. He switched to cigarettes later and the pipe was forgotten. After he died I was poking around the tool shed and lifted an old hat he had hung on a nail in the wall. Un...

Any blacksmiths?

I have no knowledge to speak on the subject, but I'd love to learn the skill myself. I've seen some amazing KY long rifles made by a smithy in NC and a fella online. I'm AMAZED what people can make with a little heat and a hammer and metal. I dislike that we've become such a cookie-cutter-throw-away...

What Are You Smoking January 2020

I noticed a Darby street sign today driving in or around the Russellville, KY area... might have been more around Lewisburg, KY... anyway, it reminded me of this ol' Darby pipe I saved from a junk lot and restored. Think I'll burn some Prince Albert and savor the memory. https://i.imgur.com/GgRdczF....
