ERR replacements

I have been ordering and smoking Sutliff ERR Match by the pound since I discovered how good it is. I have not had the pleasure of trying the Lane version yet. I plan on fixing that soon. I smoked the original ERR so long ago I can't make a comparison at this late date. I remember I thought it was pr...

Grabow Freehand

I am a big Grabow fan and have been for years. The 04 Freehand is a favorite smoker of mine. The Grabow Freehands were copies of a Mastersen branded line of pipes that were made in the Shalom factory in Israel. The Mastersens are the same shapes with vulcanite bits without the filter option. I have ...

Oldest rifle you have that is shot often

When I was 15 years old I was given a raggedy 1873 Springfield 45-70 cavalry carbine by my uncle. Its how I learned to clap hands with my shoulder blades. It left my ownership long ago in some forgotten trade and I can't say I much miss it. The oldest rifle I shoot regularly is a Smith Corona...

Smokers Pride Rich Taste, Smokers Pride Mellow

I have only smoked the Rich Taste and the Cavendish. I like the Rich Taste and keep some around for a smoke now and then. Sometimes its all I smoke for a day or two. I use the Cavendish sparingly in a home blend recipe as I don't like straight cavendish. I can't tell the SP cavendish from Lane BCA. ...

Looking to try some picayune

Thanks FR_Tom for your kind offer of sending me a sample but the postage would probably be close to what a tin costs these days. I'll just order some next time.

Looking to try some picayune

Is it anything like Five Brothers? I like Five Brothers a lot along with some other high nic strong blends. I can't smoke them all day but a bowl now and then hits the spot.

Dunhill Comeback!

I missed Royal Yacht but not enough to lose any sleep over it. The only others I ever tried were Nightcap and Early Morning Pipe. Good tobacco but easily forgetable for me. I have never smoked anything quite like Royal Yacht. I only smoked about one or two bowls a week and only a couple of tins but...

Hand me down

Its a classic shotgun with a well deserved reputation for reliability and durability. Left handers liked it especially for its bottom ejection of empties rather than out the side. I hope you enjoy it as much as your father did.
