Middleton’s Cherry Blend Discontinued - Advice Needed

Pipes & Cigars sells a match for Middleton's Cherry Blend. I haven't tried it because frankly I don't care for anything cherry, but you may like it. Read the reviews at the site for help.

Boiled Peanuts

Never tried boiling salted roasted peanuts. I buy very large 50 lbs bags of raw peanuts each October from a local market. Boil them in a large soup pot with sea salt. I'll let them completely cool and put them in gallon size zip lock bags and then into the freezer. I generally wind up with enough pe...

Down on AROS ? A possible tip for enjoyment

I didn't start enjoying aromatics until I started smoking them in cobs and meerschaums. Also I adjusted my puffing cadence and started smoking slower. The world of aromatics then opened up to me. When I smoke them in briars I've found their very pipe selective.

What Are You Smoking April 2020

Day 2 of my experiment with C&D's Gentleman Caller. It has a bitter taste from time to time and I wouldn't consider it an all day blend, at least for me. Has a better room note and sweeter taste then C&D Crooner and the Deer Tongue seems to be about the same in both blends. The bitterness is much l...

fixin to stimulate with the stimulus . American style

Got my check and it went right into savings for those "Rainy Days". I've been retired for 11 yrs and live off Social Security and a meager pension so those "Rainy Days" come around a lot faster then they used to. I buy American all the time with the exception of some pipes and tobacco. My wife is so...

Latest Pipe Purchase 2020

Just ordered a Lee Van Cleef pipe from Altinok, should be in my hands next week. This will be my second Altinok pipe and if it's as good as the first pipe I got from them I'll be a happy camper. My first pipe was a Santa Claus meerschaum.
