Just put in the press today......
Equal parts of Half & Half, Prince Albert, and Velvet. Added a touch of Anise Oil, Maple Syrup, Apple Pie Moonshine, Lemon Extract and Cinnamon Oil.
It's already starting to exude juice from the tobacco. This one should be quite interesting!

Careful with those essential oils. Depending on what types you are using, they can be highly toxic(even ones that come from things that are normally food). The reason for this is that essential oils are made by distillation down into concentrates, sometimes thousands of times stronger than using the raw source. The flavorings used in most tobacco casings are usually hydrosols(basically strong tea that is distilled and has the essential oils skimmed off) or tinctures(alcohol based), and are much less volatile.Flyfish Falls wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 4:28 pm Just put in the press today......

As they say, the poison is in the dose.. essential oil is also known as "volatile oil".. you volatilize it even more when you combust it. The results can be unpredictable and potentially dangerous.

Good advice. Yes, I'm familiar with the oils. These are all food grade, used in baking, etc. They were added to the tobacco with an eyedropper. The tobacco sat in a jar for quite awhile before I pressed it. What I added should be safe.

Thanks Ruff! I'm kind of pondering what else I can toss in for a long term (30+ day) press to see the results.Ruffinogold wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 5:18 pmThat's kinda gorgoues, manMr Beardsley wrote: ↑Wed Dec 25, 2019 5:13 pm Pulled the 2nd run of Pembrique out of the press this morning. The older I get the less complicated I want things . . .
I have been smoking this mix for a few months and really enjoy it. I mixed 5 pounds over the Holidays which includes 2 pounds each Smokers Pride Mellow Taste and Sutliff 515 RC - 1 and 1 pound Mac Baren Virginia #1. That would be 40 / 40 / 20 respective percentages. Needs to marry now for some time.
I appreciate the components being readily available and cost friendly. Not creative enough to name it and have just been referring to it as SPMT Mix.
