Upland Day is an aro from a B&M in Huntsville, AL and my favorite straight aro.

Lane HGL - Father Tom hooked me on this and it’s one I hope to never be without.
I think in the surprisingly large aro_with_latakia category, HGL is probably the best I have tried.
I didn't even know that the category existed until you made mention of HGL somewhere in the old stomping grounds

There are a lot of them. If you look on TR for "contains latakia" and "has vanilla flavor," you get http://www.tobaccoreviews.com/search?Co ... rs=Vanilla.

If you select Blend type "Aro" with the contains Latakia.. you get 91 blends that are in production! Only reason I switched it was that I didn't see EGR.. Plum(?) topped with Lat, and then BAM tons of stuff I didn't know existed.

They seem to sell enough of it to produce bulks and create new ones.

That Trout Stream is really good stuff. CBK is just in a class of it's own, IMO.

The hearth & home lineup has some stellar blends in it. Classic burley kake is fantastic and if you like to dip your toes into the VaPer pool Anniversary kake is right there towards the top as well. I have a tin of Magnum Opus which came highly recommended from a friend I trust. I'm told another friend of mine is going to set me up with a tin of Viprati, so we shall see. Louisiana Red and AJ's VaPer are both good. And the now discontinued Old Tartan is a real good smoke for me. I'm sure there's plenty more, but that's what I remember off the top of my head

While I'm primarily a burley sorta guy, I do enjoy a good VaPer once in a while. I can +1 your take on Louisiana Red, and have often been tempted to order some Anniversary Kake and give that a try. You may have just pushed me over the edge, sir! :D

At one point before I discovered the forums, I smoked mostly Old Companion and Louisiana Red. My first online tobacco order was in a search for a better price on Granger. Local distribution was poor, and the tubs were about $35. I got CBK and Anniversary Kake in that first order just because they sounded like something I would like. I like them both, but landed on Old Companion and Louisiana Red as goto smokes.

Then I found the forums and TR.

My favorite all day everyday blend was McClelland - No. 2015 Virginia Perique Flake. Since the abandonment by McC I've been hoarding my stash and have been on a psudo replacement quest. I'm happy to say I found my ED smoke which I will always keep on hand.
