We had about 40 years ago, a small shop. Smokers corner, as it was affectionately named.

As you walked in, on a plinth was this character :

Gas was fed into him, and a flame came out of the hand.
That's a feather in the background !
He's made of solid brass. I used to collect Punch & Judy items. This is one of the few bits for sale that I have.

Woops, the light was from his cigar, and his hand held a hose that you could use to take a light, and light your cigar/cigarette, pipe.
Old age creeping in on my memory.
I fondly remember him, when my dad used to go in. He's the actual one from the shop!

Mr. Punch. I have three bobble-head statues of him around my house. They all nod every time a truck rumbles by.

Cool lighter, thank you for sharing a bit of your past. Why are you selling it? You should keep it.

Hi Bruyere, It was part of my Mr. Punch collection, and I'm selling all my old bits from when I was a kids entertainer.
He's gorgeous, but I need the space where all the magic was.
