Buddy Hackett was great.

Buddy Hacket is like Red Foxx. People remember their on-screen lovable personas but only the true aficionados remember what dirty comics they were on stage.

Add Rickles to that list. While not lovable (in real life he was a wonderful man by all accounts) but his standup was not made for primetime.

Merry Griffin treated Mr. T like Griffin was a total jackass, which Griffin was in this interview: a total jackass.

This clip is edited too much but Don Rickles treated Mr. T with respect because that's the kind of guy Rickles was. Sure, Rickles would disrespect you about stupid stuff, but he respected people's hearts. Don Rickles and Bob Newhart were very good friends.

I wear a tie maybe 2-3 times a year these days. Still can't toss any of them out

You'd just have to buy a new one later. Why throw something out that works just fine?
