It has been the weekend here since Wednesday. It is impossible to get anything done.

Mardi Gras makes everything busier but it doesn't really effect my world. Today feels like Saturday to me but I know it is not. Saturday will be Samedi Gras.

Tomorrow is the big day for Mid-City, roughly the part of New Orleans where I live. The crowds are going to converge. I have decided to go. It is a good parade. It is Endymion. https://endymion.org/samedi-gras/. There will be lots of lights. I am sure I will see people I know.

New Orleans is a real city but it is like a giant town because we all know each other. We are always out and about having a good time.

What am I doing today? I am not going to parades. There are three tonight, Uptown. I am tempted to see the Krewe of Hermes. Their parade is themed on the history of Storyville. I am sure the tourists will be delighted to have no idea what they are looking at.

Last year, Druids' theme was the Kalevala, the national epic of Finland. I have read it. No one else had. Nobody knew what they were looking at.

It makes no difference. It is the greatest free show on earth.

Everyone is happy. It is difficult to describe.

Getting my house ready to list. 65 bags of Mulch, Pressure Washing, some fence fixing and some orher stuff and the outside is done.

I painted last year, if you recall, but still needed some touch-ups. Of course the touch ups dont match. And I am done with it at this point. If someone is that upset about some very small touch-up areas are slightly off color, I dont know what else to do. I’m not repainting my whole house again.

Just got to do some cleaning and some other stuff and hopefully get it listed this week.

What does that mean?

When I was in the Navy, I was a Hospital Corpsman. Back in the day, corpsmen were referred to as loblolly boys. They were the sailors who gathered up the amputated limbs in buckets and cleaned up the blood and threw it all overboard.

This is why I am confused by loblolly yellow. I associate loblolly with red.
