Very nice work! Whats the weight on that one?
Thank you! I actually forgot to weigh it because I knew it was nice and light. Comes in at 21g

In regular talk that's 0.74oz. My max for any sort of regular use is 35g or 1.25oz. My belge that I busted was 17g and it along with the wee Canadian started my light pipe obsession

That's a shape 170. Don't try to convince yourself that pipe is on that chart.
No, the 170 is a Rhodesian in every chart they've ever published.
Maybe contact Stanwell and get to the bottom of it. There might be a reason why?
Somebody with great stanwell knowledge chimed in on the other forum that the no crown and 3 digit number makes it early to mid 50's. Shape 70 finish 1. Once the 60's hit, the numbers on the chart changed to what we know today

I just recieved my first peterson system pipe. She looks gorgeous. However a question for you codgers out there. In the heel of the bowl there appears to be a nipple of the briar thats sticking up a bit , maybe a rough spot from drilling. Ive never seen this before. Wondering if any of you gents have come across this or if its anything to be concerned about? The picture doesn't show it very well unfortunately.

Probably from the bowl coating. I don’t think it would affect smoking at all. Also Petersons bowl coatings take about 15 smokes before the off taste goes away, if there is any
