Just had to post this here, mostly because I haven't ever seen this shape of CDL before. Not to mention the fact that it is mint.

I like them but I have all I need. If a NOS bulldog (with the beading cut in) shows up I'd probably go for that one.

The draw on mine seems a hair tighter than I'm used to but it's a good little smoker. Comfortable too

Tighter? Do you use a filter? Have had a rather open draw on all of mine. Maybe there's a burr in the stem? Sure you would have found it already though. Have had to clean up the mouthpiece internals on a couple of them.Mr Beardsley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 11:52 am The draw on mine seems a hair tighter than I'm used to but it's a good little smoker. No sir, I'm allergic to filters I need to go through it a bit better and see if there's a blockage somewhere. Right now it's definitely the tightest draw of any of my pipesThelonious monkfish wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 1:06 pmTighter? Do you use a filter? Have had a rather open draw on all of mine. Good man, same here. If a pipe needs anything more than tobacco and flame to function it's a novelty for me, as such I consider filters gimmicks. That CDL should certainly not be the tightest drawing pipe you have unless they're all cobs. Check for a pinch or burr, actually, what does the bottom of your chamber look like? I had one that was inserted and then overclocked to where the grate/opening for the draft was partially obstructed.Mr Beardsley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 1:18 pmNo sir, I'm allergic to filters I need to go through it a bit better and see if there's a blockage somewhere. There was a bit of a burr left on the mouth piece right at the inside wall / end of the slot. Glad I checked that out and thanks for the tipThelonious monkfish wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 1:33 pmGood man, same here. Good to hear. Hopefully that takes care of the issue.Mr Beardsley wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 1:43 pm There was a bit of a burr left on the mouth piece right at the inside wall / end of the slot. Glad I checked that out and thanks for the tip
