Cliff notes version:

Passing Cafe du Monde around midnight after hanging out on Frenchman St since late afternoon.

"Let's get some bignets!"

"Kinda late isn't it?"

"Yeah, but look, No line!"

"Cool! Let's do it! And some chicory coffee as well!"

20 minutes later...

"Let's go to Bourbon Street!"

Whalehead King wrote: Thu Jun 04, 2020 3:32 pm Well, look who's house shows up at 51 seconds in this video. They should have stayed at La Belle Esplanade, we would have sent them to much better po' boy places than they visited:

The original po' boy is a fried potato po' boy, a French fry sandwich served dressed: i.e.: with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

I'm not really interested in talking about po' boys on the pizza thread, but I was looking for a video of "The Barge" which is Katies most famous po'boy sandwich and this video showed up and, since your humble narrator's inn showed up as an example of quintiessential New Orleans, I couldn't help but post it. The two women don't know New Orleans from their elbows, but that's how it goes sometimes.

You can always go to Liuzza's for the "frenchaletta." Now that's a sandwich that Italian chefs seek out when they visit this wonderful city we call home. New Orleans is a city full of surprises.
If it ain't an oyster po-boy I rather have a muffuletta.
Agree, fried oysters are da bomb in the po boy
While I've never had a fried oyster Po'Boy I have had fried oyster Tacos from Bernie's Oyster Bar in Savannah & Tybee Island GA. They're worth the trip just to eat a few.
American by birth, Southern by the grace of God!

What makes Costco pizza so delicious?

It's the love they put into it. For $1.99 a slice, it's the best deal in town, except for the hot dog meal.

Word is they're in the works on a Cleveland inspired steamed pizza that's served dumped on your chest.
