These guys are still out there . For a short camp , like a weekend plus a few , its a great tool . Ive had mine for decades and its pretty priceless . The knife is magnetically attached in the handle

Yes . Its held in by magnetics . Ive never had it fall out while tromping though the woods

Jeez , I have no idea ... probably china [ ? ] . i think mine is American or Tawain but its pretty old .

I bring it and a Swiss army or and old " campers knife ' and Im good to go . If you were going to build a shelter or whatnot then Id think to bring a folding saw . Bu just camping for a 2 or 3 day weekend with a tent or tarp ... this thing is golden
