I too like it
But, most people have something going on, work, a hobby, recreational activity, motor-vehicle (I just realized that aside from fully electric-motor vehicles, most every vehicle is an "engine-vehicle" by definition), house, whatever-ever, where they spend the $$$ for high-end stuff
I like that fact that really expensive/nice stuff exists, including pipes
My fleet of estate-pipes is a testament to $70 or less pipes

Says the guy who has some of the most beautiful, badass pipes I've ever seen..

I have some nice pipes but nothing out of my means.. I think there are people who have serious PAD that goes far beyond pipe smoking. Social media has people going mental over smoke and mirrors.

If you see me mention the “Coco Pup” Bulldog it was made by R.M. Perkins. It’s my only commission and Robert did an outstanding job.
“Pooh” is a Liverpool made by Norm Triptow. It’s smokes like a champ and is the best deal going for a handmade pipe.
I have a Basil Meadows Bing that I never warmed up to. The pipe is spectacular, not it’s fault.
One name I didn’t see mentioned is Dustin Neely. My Devil Anse came from him and it could be my favorite pipe, once it broke in.

Back when I lived in Florida, I was pals with Randy Wiley . At some point I asked him to show me how to make pipes and he was cool with it . So , here and there id get Chuck Stanion to watch the shop and I'd split to Wileys for a lesson . After a bit , Randy and I split a table at a pipe show , though I forget which one, and I sold more pipes than he did that weekend .. lol . Mine were much cheaper but the same Grecian briiar and stem material as Randy . I think in total I sold 20 _ 30 pipes that show ( ? ) I believe I used an ertching tool to carve in my initials , which is JS
So , I bet you never heard of JS Pipes . They are styled mainly in the classic free hand and a few billiards .... because if you can't carve s billiard , yer just a poser
