Ahoy from DullAware

I smoked pipe 50 years ago in college. Soon as I came of an age where my hands got busy, I had to give it up. Takes too much attention and too much apparatus. Last ten or fifteen years, I've taken up cigars. You simply open the head, light the foot, and you are good to go far the next hour and a half. Easy street. I likie to set my gar down on the workbench and leave it smolder for three minutes while I turn a wrench or summat. No probs, Never been able to do that with a pipe.

The One Who Must Be Obeyed like the aroma of a pipe. Might take it up again. Might try my hand at stirring up some casings (which I abhor on a gar) and shredding up some pipe blends, just for the heck of it.

Last five, ten years, I have strictly smoked gars I roll myself. Three, four years back, I began stashing away cigar tobacco against the eventual tobaccolypse. Consequently, at any given time, I will have about forty pounds of makings in store. Different primings of Nic from Esteli and Condega, then from the DR, I've Pelo de Oro, Criollo, Corojo, etc. etc. Even varieties from Peru, Brazil, Ecuador. What I don't have is the typical pipe baccy varieties: Burley, Virginia, Latakia, Turkish, Kentucky, and so forth.

Anyhoo, thought I might search round here and do some study.

They don't load in the post for me either, but if I right click and open image in a new window, I can see them. Maybe that will work for you too?
