Comprised of a mixture of flue and sun cured Virginia’s with a generous helping of Cypriot Latakia.
Bought some today, $22.21c. haven't tried it yet. It come's in 50gm tins. I've never had a tin before, always pouches.
Will update what I think soon.

Tried it out this morning. I couldn't get the lid off ! I had to use a screw driver.
Nice burn, so I had two bowls.
I'm watching a series on TV, called Harlots, set in the 1700's.
In one scene, the Prince is smoking a church warden clay.
He's holding the bowl in his palm, then swivels his hand around to smoke it.
Thinks ... something that long shouldn't be held by the stem.

Clays get blazin' hot, so holding them by the stem is kind of required.pipelover wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 3:27 am Tried it out this morning. I couldn't get the lid off ! I had to use a screw driver.

I always use a screwdriver. It's so automatic that I never even try to without one.
I've tried Balkan Mixture. From what I remember, which isn't enough to describe, I like it.

You can only smoke a clay while holding the bowl during the first couple of puffs. After that, unless you have nerve damage, you have to hold it by the stem. I turn my pipe stand backwards to that the stem is facing me when I put my clay pipe down. That way I don't absentmindedly burn myself by reaching for the bowl the way I would with any other pipe.
