Between Oklahoma and driving I-10 through Texas, I'd swear I'm driving through a Louis L'Amour novel. Loved it. Happened by a small town with nothing but a post office (closed down) and a few houses. Deer Park, OK or something like that. I wanted to fix up a dusty old beater house and move in.Bill with eoPd wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 3:27 pmYou took the Grand Tour.Ruffinogold wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 5:25 pm Ive only driven through a sliver of Oklahoma . @Ruffinogold and @Bill with eoPd. For your information, Oklahoma has hills; they just happen to be called an overpass in other states. As far a trees go, they just mess up the view of a tornado. I lived there for awhile years ago. I enjoyed going to some of the old parts of Hwy 66 that are on long forgotten dirt roads or in the middle of a pasture.

Evey state has cool stuff and shit stuff . For exampe , I dont care for Alabama , at least the entire center of the state and no doubt Birmingham , wich is an utter shithole . However , Florence Alabama is a fantastic small city , its almost perfect . Its right across from Mussel Shoals , wich I also like . Most all of the north end of Alabama is nice and the south shore line is pretty cool

Here's that Graywoodie/Kaywoodie my son bought me for Christmas. It clenches sooooo easy... great smoker, especially while hiking in the woods.
