That’s my kind of meerschaum, classic shape, straight. Nice one!
Want it? $25 plus shipping.
No thanks, I have 2 and that’s two more than I need except for March Meer Madness

So here's a question for the kaywoodie experts here. Were the white briar / white coral pipes painted white strictly to cover up really plain / heavily filled pipes? Or was it designed to color kind of like a meer (I think nording did some sort of odd coating at one time that was supposed to mimic meer)

Definitely a cool pipe. I didn't know Kaywoodie even had meerschaum pipes, but I don't really know much when it comes to these things.

We need @Kwguy to pop in now. I’m not an expert in anything KW related but I bet it has to do with these three things, and I’m probably way off.

Look like meeeschaum at briar price
Modernization, mid-century cool
Practical to cover imperfect briar

I am guessing at all if this but it all makes sense to me.

That's kind of my train of thought as well. Some of the old white coral pipes look great when they were "well loved"

I had a coral white briar Zulu 10 years ago. Someone on the DGCF has it now, but I wish I’d have kept it. I might could find a picture but I doubt it.

Funny enough, that's sort of how I came across the white coral. I was looking at some old grabow shape charts and found a 99 (looks like a panel zulu to me) so I go browsing around the ol auction site and someone had a white coral (pot or billiard or something like that) that popped up on a grabow search. So one rabbit hole leads to another. Now that I know kaywoodie made a zulu in the white coral I'm going to need to keep my eyes open

You and multiple others have referenced the kaywoodie compendium multiple times. I've actually spent a bit of time searching the webses for it and always come up empty. Seems to be gone gone

Have you seen this site yet? It's a parallel universe with the DGCF, lots if us were/are crossover members. Good info.
