He and I are currently only about 50 miles from each other as the crow flies. We are having some strange weather here in Southern California associated with monsoonal moisture these days, so depending on what sort of equipment he's got, he may be experiencing some unexpected challenges. Wild weather can create some very impactful camping memories, however!

Oh yeah we had some cool flashes and booms from the storm that passed through. With the work that I did on the roof of the rv we were bone dry and I was able to maintain a temperature of 77 inside with the AC cycling in 100 degree weather
