Very cool! I used to have an enamel top table in my kitchen.

Turns out that the metal table has a few hand painted coats of probably latex or enamel paint on it so looks like I’ll need to get out the sander and make a big dusty mess
Need to wait a day or so to let my wood projects dry enough to bring inside before tackling metal

Still set on closing on our house purchase in a couple weeks so I intend to refinish several other furniture pieces in the next week - that way when we move into our new house we will have better looking furnishings to start fresh

Not really full on woodworking since all I really did was a bit of surface prep before engraving and then a coat of odie's since it's food safe. Anyway, pretty pleased with the result and now I have another nice little bamboo cutting board

My dad got this 90mm shell some time in the late 60's when he was in the USMC. He had asked me to turn a bullet for it quite some time ago and I finally got to it. Not perfect. Not historically accurate. But he's happy and that's all I care about

Fiddling with this guy today in addition to some rounds. I've never seen a board more naturally suited to a shark choochery / serving piece. Water wipe between grits

My dad had a board like that but it wasn’t for hors d'oeuvres!

This one is too wide and doesn't have enough holes for your dad's purpose :lol:

@Mr Beardsley

You know anything about turning threads in wood?

Not really! I know it takes special equipment and that's about the extent of my knowledge
