Tonight's aperitif: Banhez artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca. It's a very easy sipper with some gentle smoke and a very slight vanilla undertone, which is not typical for a joven. Backed up by Sierra Nevada Sunny Little Thing. Getting ready to grill a tri-tip that we'll eat with some homemade chimichurri. Gotta love the weekend!

Tonight I'm enjoying some Oro de Coyame sotol. Sotol is made from a relative of agave that is endemic to northern Mexico and Texas, known colloquially as the 'desert spoon.' Taste is similar to mezcal, but a little more herbal and vanilla.

Xicaru Reposado, with a Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest chaser. Yes, and yes. Or rather, Si, und Ja.
Hope your evening is maravilloso and wunderbar!
