This book , from back in 70 and then revised in 74 which is what I have here , is a damn good all around book on tobacco . Once this book is read , youd have a good basic understanding of tobacco . Its mostly geared toward pipe tobacco , though everything gets covered [ PIpes , cigars etc .. ] . Most all info in it is still current , though some lingo has changed .
Anyway , it can be had used on amazon for next to nothing and its not one of those books thats mostly fanfare , bs , celebrities , pictures and info from a perspective of a closeted fanboy . Its a good straight forward , easy to read book that would appeal to most anyone

I'll check it out.
I have an old Kindle where I downloaded a bunch of public domain books on tobacco. You can download them on a computer too. I remember one from the turn of the century talking about some issues with cancer and smoking. All research pointed to the paper, not the tobacco, as the papers were already being treated with chemicals. Humans sure can screw things up...

It's over 50 bucks on Amazon, and over 30 on Thriftbooks.

I think I may have that one downloaded somewhere. Either that or I've seen it elsewhere recently and it's stuck in my memory
