Tsuge makes their own version of a Falcon as well

Aren't we all, my friend, aren't we all? Tsuge might be the pipe for you.

The Japanese reputation for engineering and reliability is well deserved in my experience.

Nah. If I was in the market for something tankard-esque I'd get an Eltang Basic. I also dislike acrylic stems so none of them are on my radar

My tankard's benefits outweigh its shortcomings, and, over time, I have more benefits I did not expect to appreciate when I first purchased this pipe.

The stem is getting discolored, but so are the liver spots on the back of my hands. The stem material is the only thing that has not converted me, but, everything else I was non-plussed with about this pipe has turned out to be a reason to make it a go-to. YMMV.

I can live with the stem because I am living with the pipe. The bit where I bite it and clench is ugly and discolored, but---see above.

I love this quote:

I forgot I had one. I think I got it used 2 or 3 years ago from eBay. I know that I paid less than $50. I guess I should try it out.
