That Gypsy woman was probably smoking corn silk or homegrown tobacco, so it surely wasn't about flavor for her I bet. Would have been cool if it didn't impart those odd flavors though!

I’m with @Silver , no amount of breaking it in will make it part of my rotation. It makes a much better ornament than functional pipe!

I still have mine from last year. It's packed in a box of Christmas ornaments. It'll definitely go back on the tree.
