Ah! Thanks. Is the one you wear with the brim turned up all around called a "homberg" or something like that? (Apologies...I'm largely hat ignorant.)

The one in the pic is a Homburg with a somewhat relaxed brim from heavy use, rain, etc. I have one in better shape for more formal events - funerals, etc.MikeDennison wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 4:56 pmAh! I am not against a Homburg, in fact, I was looking at some earlier today. I need another hat like I need a hole in the head.
I am fond of wide-brimmed, high-crowned fedoras. They are getting harder and harder to find, and I go to the largest and oldest hat store in the South. I suspect someday, I will be forced to go full homburg. I find them too stiff for my tastes.
Ivy took a snapshot of me today for business. This is the hat I wear most days in winter. Though I did wear a brocade beret yesterday.
You will notice the guy in the background was wearing a stingy-brimmed cloth print fedora, with hardly any dimples. Goorin Bros. Those are fine if you are a hand-to-mouth hipster jazz cat, which I am not. I am the opposite of hip.
