With your meal on the plane you would get a three pack of cigarettes. I remember seeing Winston and Marlboro. That was back in the 1960s on TWA.

Hey , does anyone remember the prices of OTC stuff back in the day ? I mean sometimes I think I remember but the costs were so low that im not sure I believe it or if it could be accurate .... 49 cents for Kentucky Club . I know I remember 79 cents but that was a little later on ... I think . I could be thinking other stuff . Things that seemed unimportant to me , I just dont remember much about them .They were all about the same price give or take a little . Edgeworth RR came in a boring looking blue pouch . London Dock looked cool as hell to me . Argosy was super cool looking
Some of you guys are older than I and I thought Id ask if you remember prices

Cigarettes were really cheap . My first pack was out f a cigarette machine and they were either 20 or 30 cents a pack and ya got a free book of matches with it . Over the years I mastered all kinds of tricks with paper matches . I actually miss seeing those everywhere

I think 5 pack machine made cigars were 50 cents [ ? ] or less ?

When I was little, my dad smoked in the house, then they killed him when I was 9. They killed my aunt a year before. Then I started working for my brother when I was 14. When he was a teen he always had a pack rolled up in his shirt sleeve. He had an inventory service and I got to sit in the back seat between 2 big men, with 3 more in the front seat all smoking cigarettes for 5 hours at a setting. It didn't particularly bother me that much because I was used to it. I finally started smoking nickel cigars in protest. That had no effect. I hate smoking in restaurants, especially cigars. Cigarettes killed my brother in law and my mother in law. They also killed my brother, but only after 8 open heart surgeries at 74 years. His other siblings all lived to their late 80s. I never smoked cigarettes, although I liked the smell of fresh Camels that my dad smoked. And I would always smell his sports coat after he died. After not being around smokers for many years, I was on a flight from Florida shortly after I had recovered from pneumonia. I had to be helped off the plane. So this part of progress is something I'm happy about. I smoke my pipe in my home or truck.

The only operational cigarette machine that I can remember seeing was at one of the casinos in Louisiana but it did not appear to accept cash.

Perhaps it requires an ID and matching credit card?
