I dig it! I always hit mine with a heat gun to chase any excess oil out of the pores in the wood before waxing. Seems to help the wax coat keep an even sheen
I don't have a heat gun. Does a hair dryer get hot enough?
Possibly, you could also just smoke it and wipe off the excess. When I go for a matte sheen I'll hit the pipe quick and heavy with a cleaner dipped in shellac and wipe it off right after.

Exactly! Shaved head / full beard and the missus has hers very short too. Got rid of the dryer years ago lol

Exactly! Shaved head / full beard and the missus has hers very short too. Got rid of the dryer years ago lol
Makes life much easier, less hastle.
I don't use one either but my wife does and now I'm going to have to ask her to use it which will require me to answer many many questions. Lol

I was going to leave it but now that I have some time vested I'm gonna buff it up shiny.

Luckily my wife stopped questioning me long ago. I think she just chalked it up to insanity
