The BST and the Silver Duke are calling to me from the rack. I am staying strong.

We are almost halfway through!
True that... I will admit I have missed the briars. The meers are not getting much chance to cool down. I have seen progress with the color.

An interesting quality of the ziptie meer is that the crack on the side is pretty visible when cold. There is a small gap despite having the ziptie tightas I can get it. When warm, the gap closes and is barely visible. I am not sure if this is due to expansion with heat and an effective tightening of the ziptie or some internal stress in the block when cold that may have led to the cracking in the first place - something to ponder.

I have to say, it's pretty damn good. Like cinnamon bread almost. I went heavy on the burley so it's running the show, but the Veermaster is definitely bumping up the sweetness.

Burning some Dark Fired Mixture in the Pete Baskerville Meer. Beautiful day here in sunny Kyle with a projected high of 61. :D

I had a bowl of HGL in the Rob Roy that either did not get posted, or it went in the wrong thread.

I am home now and having some ODF-RR in an Altinok POY

You should give that IMP a beeswax bath. They love it and wow, does it ever bring out color!
What do you do? Melt the wax and dunk it in?

It really is just that simple! Cork the chamber, melt the beeswax and submerge it to the stem. I swirl it around in the melted beeswax and then shake off the excess, and wipe/polish the pipe with a soft cloth. Easy!

I really like the texture on this pipe, is this a sandblast or is there another method for producing this kind of finish?
It's Morta wood. A sort of fossilized Oak that they pull out of acidic bogs that is very hard and has an extremely open grain pattern.
Yep, Morta, and sandblasted to further open the grain.
