I will stand up in defense of a pear wood pipe !
Good smokers but i would consider them as a dry clean only as if it were a corn based product
has a neat look to it, the 9 mm caught my eyeThelonious monkfish wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 6:15 pmLet's see a picture. Fruit and Nut woods, Cherry, Hickory, Maple, etc., are fine to smoke from but can be more prone to splitting. If it's got thick walls and a beefy shank, doesn't run you too much, and you like it go for it. I've had pipes in all sorts of other woods.
I feel in love with it he Pete when I saw it. The first time I saw one was in a post from Thelonious Monkfish. I was already shopping for a new pipe and I flipped when I saw his. I really debated the same pipe in an apple and a pot, almost got the apple cause it had a vulcanite stem, but love the shape of this prince. The drilling is a lil off in my opinion, it is difficult to pass a cleaner, but smokes flawlessly.Peacock wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 3:57 pmThis is my favorite purchase of the year thus far. I am in love with that Pete: shape, fishtail stem, grain contrast, size. If I didn't already have a Dunhill Rollagas I'd 100% buy a Kiribi and FVF in this size is just a man who knows what he likes kinda purchase.
Thank you Sir.
