Father, what do you use to bore out your cobs?
It has been discussed a few times
I am sure he will repost the info
I have a 7/8 in drill bit and a handheld drill. I then clean it up with a dremel. You can do it with just the dremel.

I tried it with a 7/8th bit in a small drill press. Tried to go slow with it, but the cob was so hard that I ended up shattering the pipe! That's why I was asking. I thought that perhaps you used a different method. Thanks.

Wow! I have done a variety of pipes using this method - cobs, briars and two mortas. Nothing has broken yet.

I need to go find my Kirsten. I love that pipe. I wonder where I last put it down. Its been awhile since I've last seen it. Oh bother. While I enjoy being absent-minded it can be a pain in the keister at moments like this when I want to find something quickly. I'm sure it will turn up.

Thanks, Fr. Tom. I'd forgotten about my Kirsten. Smoke yours in good health. That's a great pipe!

It is a wonderful pipe. The bowl capacity is pretty small, but i find I like the taper. It requires a (very) firm pack because it springs back. It is a good smoker.
