Good on you man!! I wanted soo badly to get rid of ours when I remodeled our kitchen!! The dishwasher had leaked unbeknownst to us and ruined the drywall and some of the subfloor. I hate dishwashers but... the boss made me fix it and put it back in.

The convenience of a dishwasher is more of a hassle than anything else. Had mine leaked and caused that much water damage, it would have never went back in to the cabinet.
