Mrs. King and I live in the blue house. The orange house is La Belle Esplanade, our business. The green house is four apartments. I do not think of them as three separate homes since I live in a compound, essentially. We do own all three buildings and the gardens behind them. It is both a blessing and a curse, as I always say.
I am no longer confused
Until the next time. :buddy:

I thank God for this every day. Every day. It is not always easy but it always worth getting up in the morning.
And the best part is that it's only 1.9 miles from my 6th great uncle's statue! 😁

Sounds like we're supposed to feed the chickens shrimp and crawfish shells... The blowback on that is going to be epic

New Orleans is complicated. It's a bit of everything.

New Orleans is different from anywhere else. It needs to be experienced to be understood. New Orleans plays by a game that has its own rules. New Orleans is a city of old traditions that predate most places in America. New Orleans is not a woke paradise. Being itself, true to its traditional roots, New Orleans is like no place else. It is many things to many people. We all have a little New Orleans in us if we forget to be sad.

It is a good statue, and, you are right. This statue is 1.9 miles from my house. I pass it when I visit my barber on Decatur Street! It used to be in the train station but then they moved it to the park where Bienville Street crosses Decatur.
