What pipe would you take on a fishing trip?

A cob - probably a Legend. Two actually, in case you drop one in the drink.

This , exactly . A Legend is my preferred fishing pipe and all around " doing shit outdoors in a near hardcore way " pipe . It's the perfect size and weight . The bent Legend pretty much disappears

I like to get bent too.

I have two pipes in my rotation that I consider "knock around" pipes. One is a straight M.M. Ozark Mountain Hardwood and the other is a bent M.M. Legend. The Hardwood was and is smoked A LOT, and it shows; she's burnt up a bit inside and the stem is loose. The Legend was my first cob and it had a hole in it that used to smoke and that particular spot is brown and black. Since she caked over inside she don't seem to be getting worse so it's all good. But one or both of these pipes goes with me hiking, biking, fishing or whatever.

I "try" to leave pipes at home that would be hard to replace. Fishing would be that way for sure.

It has been a while since I have been fishing, but I would take a couple of bored-out cobs with forever stems.

I haven't fished in years, either. And knowing how klutzy I am, if I took a pipe I'd probably wind up starting a fire. But if I was gonna take one, it would be a cob or a little hardwood Ozark.

I have not been fishing in years . . . that being said it was (and would be) a cob with a lanyard tied around the stem and attached to my vest. I would also hate losing a favorite cob.
