So: I am a HUGE fan of Virginia / Perique blends. I have sampled all types and all cut varieties. It’s a straight forward blending of Virginias and their flavors are enhanced by the addition of Perique.

I have ordered two tins of Seattle Pipe Club’s “Deception Pass” & I beg the opinion of the forums-

If I were to blend Virginia, Cavendish, Orientals, and Perique together- would I still have a Va/Per blend?

To throw my two cents out there, I think that sounds like an intriguing combination, that isn’t a Va’Per in my mind. What do y’all think?

In my opinion a Va/Per is Virginia and Perique with maybe a slight rum topping, period end of story. You start adding sour Orientals you might as well add latakia and call it a Balkin.

This. I can see adding a sprinkle of Cav and still calling it a Va/Per.. but Orientals and you've just gone too far. He's right.. you are basically one ingredient away from Nightcap with that mix. :D

Also, Deception Pass is good stuff. My opinion.. One of the few SPC blends I don't find to be a muddled, everything-under-the-kitchen-sink mishmash.

I'm sort of an old school purist when it comes to Va/Per, Navy Roll's are preference.

a person who vapes, especially by using e-cigarettes:

Tomato/tomato. It's all in how you pronounce it. I don't have a dog in the Va/Per debate. If it's good, I'll smoke it. If it isn't good, it will last longer. There is something to be said for a tin that lasts a long time---It's always waiting for you.

I’ve got a few that’ll wait longer than the time it took to get a burger at Howard Johnsons
