Agreed . If someone has similar likes and says is great , good or crap .. I pay attention . The last thing I'd want to listen to is some latakia bomb lover who hates aromatics give an aromatic review , as an example :)
That drives me crazy too...if you dont like aromatics dont review them.

They quit making it. I really enjoyed it.

That's too bad , They keep doing that ,don't they .Just when I find some tobacco that sound like a new positive experience to me it's gone . It would be nice to have a a solid easy-going go to. But maybe there isn't really such thing.

I don't think I wrote that. It doesn't sound like me, though it is a true statement.

I always called it barnyard. And the more a cigar smelled that way, the better it was!
Haha. This is somewhat akin to a term that a friend and I occasionally use when we're describing the odor/flavor of some red wines that we like, typically Spanish or French. When essence of barnyard becomes wetter and heavier, we call it 'duck butt.' If it's got duck butt going, there's a strong funk going on that we typically appreciate if it hasn't completely taken over the overall flavor profile.

I find reading reviews of tobacco (and wine, and beer, and bourbon) enjoyable, not only for the information I may glean from them, but for the creative language often used to describe the oh-so-nuanced flavor and texture perceptions.
Because sometimes the body just wants canned fish. 🦪
