Puff nstuff wrote: Sat Jun 12, 2021 2:22 pm I find reading reviews of tobacco (and wine, and beer, and bourbon) enjoyable, not only for the information I may glean from them, but for the creative language often used to describe the oh-so-nuanced flavor and texture perceptions.

Here is my review of the time I have spent reading numerous tobacco reviews over the years:

C'mon, you mean you don't enjoy nonsensical ramblings like this gem...

Pipes &Cigars review for Match Walnut

A bit more refined, but along the lines of S.Value English pouch. About as far English as I care for. Wife calls it "slim jim", so, room note is beef jerky basically. Tastes like smoking SWR with one single M&M melted in your mouth, downwind from someone burning fresh pine branches. It's actually quite good. It's been so long since I had Walnut I can't comment on similarity, although I know I didn't like it. like smoking cedar shavings. This MATCH seems to be sweeter, and more melded. I'll get more.
danny

It's quite apparent that Danny or danny suffered severe brain stem damage while trying to open a book.

Ya gotta love crap like this!

Just thought id give an opinion on this old thread topic.
Reviewing anything that has to do with taste and flavors is very subjective.
I dont really care what you taste, because I know what good tobacco tastes like.
Let me know if something is out of place, either good or bad.
Tell me about the moisture level.
Tell me if the VA used is too young or ashy, or any other issue thats not normal.
Tell me how it lights, does it stay lit?
Let me know if it tastes similar to another blend.
Hows the room note?
Is it quality tobacco?
Does it burn hot, or cold, or fast, or slow?
I realize all these things can be subjective too, but thats where you learn whos review to trust.
I want to taste good, well aged, well blended and quality tobacco.
I could not care less about leather, olives, turnips, woods, earth.......

And stone fruit. And sublimate. That's a term every review needs
