I still have and smoke most of them; in fact my Mark Twain, my Sherlock Holmes (including my Deerstalker Jr), and my Irish Seconds are from those days (1993).

Here is an old catalogue from 1988: https://petersonpipenotes.org/wp-conten ... -Pages.pdf
Ya know , I think the English Oriental Supreme was under the World Tobac line originally, or at least it was the first Id seen that blend . I have my Pete Emerald Rustic from back then still . The petes then were really nice . Too cool you had a shop too and around the same time . Did you carry the Peter Stokkebye cigars . I think there were three sizes . Super creamy and leathery wrappers .. freakin nice and not too pricey
The Troya cigars back then were stellar too
Yes, the English Oriental Supreme and a Rose blend, I remember, were World Tobac! Peter actually visited our shop once and I still have a pipe tobacco humidor signed by him from that visit. I don't remember carrying the Stokkebye cigars but the Troyas were excellent.

We used to sell the Irish Seconds and the Ericas all day long. Of course, in 1993, they cost $15 (retailed $29.95) per pipe and now I wish I had kept more.
Its a spoiling thing to think in wholesale . Its like a curse ... lol

I remember in 1993 that Lane 1Q cost (with taxes) $6.30/lb and we sold it for $14.95/lb. By 2000, it cost $13.40/lb (with taxes) and we were selling it for $19.95/lb. Hmm... I can't remember how much it cost in 2006 when I quit the tobacco game but it was quite a bit more.
Mischief managed.

Wow, @Wildcat! I can't tell you how happy it made me to read your post, especially at the end of yet another day of a long and demoralizing week at work. I'm sure I speak for many here when I say you were sorely missed. For me, this forum just isn't the same when you're not part of the mix, chiming in with your goofy good cheer. I'm very glad you're back, and that you're okay!
I appreciate your kind words toward me; I'm humbled, and I thank you. But we're good, you and I. You owe me nothing; just knowing you're out there enjoying life and pipes, and are back in the fold here of your own accord, are the best gifts you could give me, buddy! 👊🙏
Because sometimes the body just wants canned fish. 🦪

You saved the truest part for last.

It is nice to have you back.

Let the games begin.
