Syssyphus, that is a great list and even better descriptions. Here is my list but I am not going to try and describe them like you did. I would look like an illiterate moron next to you. The TR next to a name means tin ready i.e no drying time needed. I prefer a bit of moisture in my flakes as they smoke cooler and with more flavor. Just a personal preference.

Just bumping an old thread with my favourite straight VAs:
Peterson's Signature Flake - Fantastic Flake with some Brazilian VA for a touch of spice. Comforting smoke that builds to a woody, spicy, chocolate end. My most smoked straight VA.
Germains Br... well, y'know the one we're not suppose to talk about... gorgeous thin flakes of sublime contemplation.
K&K 88 - Heavenly tin note with plenty of spices, sweet and simple. Looking forward to this one in about 10 years.

Ok, im gonna add C&D Yorktown to this list.
I liked it a lot when I bought it new.
But now after 8 years in the cellar, its stunning.
This is truly a Virginia purists dream.
Here is whats in it.......

"For Yorktown, the folks at Cornell & Diehl combine stoved red Virginia with bright Virginia and restoved it. Straight red Virginia is then added to this remarkable base for sweetness. The acme of mixtures for the Virginia purist!".

Ive still got a couple pounds from 2015.

I will need to revisit this tobacco . . .

I purchased a few ounces a couple of years past and remember thinking this has to be a mistake and cannot be what people are raving about . . . it was nothing more than sifted remains.
