Well, im going to FINALLY smoke my brand new MM Diplomat for this month.
Ive had it for ohhhhhhhh, maybe 10 years.
I bought a "Forever Stem" for it back when they were still made with the "dot".
There is absolutely no reason I havent smoked it.
Ive smoked the "Great Dane", that I bought at the same time, about 300 times.
Maybe ill make this one a Latakia pipe....I do not have a Latakia corn cob yet.

We are now in August. It begins The 5th Annual August Brylon Challenge. I’ll post last years message from @Kevin Keith below. Please use the banner if you smoke one of these things this month.
“Can you believe it? It’s almost here!
This will be the 4th annual August Brylon Challenge™ here on PSF. It's the month where we emphasize smoking our space age pipes. So, just a heads up to pick up a polymer pipe, the pinnacle of mid-20th Century smoking technology! THE SMOKE, the pipe, Venturi, and any other wild, mid-century polymer pipe is eligible.
Post all of the The August Brylon Challenge™ 2022 smokes in the regular WAYS thread for August. You do not have to smoke Brylon exclusively to participate, just post the smokes in WAYS as you puff those pieces of plastic pipey pulchritude.
Happy retro smoking!”

Ive got 2 Brylon pipes....I believe......They are not briar.
One is a Venturi that is slightly used but hasnt been smoked for decades. Its another pipe I aquired from my wifes grandpa.
The other is a "Yello Bole Standard" that is completely unsmoked and like new. Ive had the YB for 15+ years but never had the urge to smoke it. I have no idea where I got it....probably an ebay lot.

I wished to smoke my Rockcob today, but we are remodeling the living room and a large bookcase is blocking the pipe cabinet. I won't be able to get to it until Wednesday or Thursday.Piping Abe wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 6:32 pm
