How on earth did that happen? Those just don't break off without force.
That’s a little tougher to fix.
Yeah I'm already on the lookout for a replacement.

Tim West is capable of fixing these types of stems. You might give him a holler. Actually for both you guys, he is proficient with stems.

It was already the slightest bit askew, I put a pipe cleaner through it and it pipe cleaner got stuck. My dumb brutish mind thought to just pull it out and it finished bending it....completely apart.
Does that one thread still grab? Shouldn't be a problem, maybe file the edge smooth.

I emailed a guy named Mike Myers about it and he told me to contact Tim West. Gave me his phone number, maybe I'll call tomorrow.

I talked to there people about fixing a pipe I burned a hole in.
They seem to be good honest people

I've never sent a pipe out for any work but if I were to he's the one.

No, they do, just not very often. Old ones that weren't kept clean develop some pitting and that white corrosion aluminum gets. I've snapped one or two with little to no effort.

I might could be of assistance, let me root around in some boxes and see if there's a donor stem.

I stand corrected. Although in my past experience with those stingers I've had to use a hack saw to cut them off and not one was as brittle as you described.
