I see that I am not the only one in the market for a travel thermos. The vintage Stanley that I had for 23 years disappeared during our recent move. Want a replacement with a separate cup for tea/coffee, whatever I'm in the mood for.

Opinions solicited.

Travel thermos? I'm just looking for a regular thermos without an oring that I have to replace every 2 months.

Honestly I am not sure you can really do better than those old Stanleys. I'd look on etsy to see if you can find one. They pop up at thrift stores a lot too.

Yeah, I have a cup-style insulated drink cup, but what I need is a vacuum bottle that I can throw in a bag.

That's a food thermos, you can't pour without removing the cap.

May end up having to go with another vintage vacuum bottle, if nobody here is making them now. Don't trust anything out of Guangzhou - just a personal preference.

I will never buy a used thermos, you will never know what was in it.
