See, that just sealed the deal right there. My old ham friend Frank said the same thing jokingly all the time and we still have a huge trailer full of gear to go through! Lol my house is full....

I don't know what it is with Ebay prices. It seems to me there is a definate ebb and flow. One week you see some at least halfway decent prices and the next thing you know its like all the sellers get together and do a community price jacking.

There are an awful lot of very common and sad pipes on ebay that i reckon folks think are gold or something. If one catches my eye but is priced a bit too high, ill watch it for a while and see what happens. If it really catches my eye ill message the seller. I also rarely bid on anything. I watch the buy it now and make offer

Ok, so these pipes were in pretty great shape as far as use goes. Both have intact 3 hole stingers. There was still visible wood inside the Signet bowl, and not much more cake in the Standard. They obviously sat outside in a garage or shed as the aluminum the stinger screws into on the bulldog was corroded. The signets stinger was protected by a fine layer of goop! Anywho, a oack of pipe cleaners, an overnight salt treatment and a little elbow grease and the Signet is ready to smoke! Image

I did nothing to the wood other than clean it and give it a little hand buffing. Now to work on the Standard and wait for the other ebay pipes to show up.
