Ruger GP100 (357mag) for home defense and a S&W 442 for on the go.
Im with you . Im a 38 +P guy with 4" barrel . Got other stuff but its what Ive reached for forever and pretty much always will

Earlier in this thread I mentioned not having a SHTF rifle , however thats changed . I have an uncle thats been making things for decades . He's been all in all my life and he's 86 now . Last we talked he said he made me something and wanted me to pick it up , which of course i did

Ive been practicing a bit and feel pretty efficient with it now . Its quite comfortable

Everyone needs an AR15 before "they" temporarily take them away.

Just got done putting this one together. Anderson upper with other inexpensive parts. This is my first "budget" build.
I put 300 rounds through it over this weekend, zero issues.
Its 5.56 cal.

I just finished the lower and assembled my 300 AAC carbine. I picked up a Hogue stock and grip with purple rubber. Hey, it was on sale. Very comfortable too.
I now have 300 AAC pistol and carbine, 5.56 rifle with walnut furniture, 350 Legend pistol, 7.62x39 carbine, and a 450 Bushmaster carbine. And that's just ARs. I have an SKS and a bolt 223, 30-30 Winchester, and bolt and single shot 45-70s, and a Marlin Camp 9. They are in my house waiting for the SHTF to come to me.

Because I have carried a handgun daily for 30+ years and I live in NYS where we are only "allowed" 10 round magazines, I carry a 10mm on most days.
A glock 20 to be exact.
Not really a SHTF gun but its the one ill be carrying.....with a 15 round magazine!!
