Sisyphus, sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread. Nice rifle you got there. I understand that the 308 works great in a 16" barrel.

I have the killer 20" with the good glass and bipod. I make my own 308. For me this will relegate the AK to range toy and be the 30 cal carbine I reach for in case of emergency. With the ACOG, it will be an effective choice from 0-600 yards, where the 20" would be too heavy to lug over hill and dale.

I pick it up tomorrow.

If I had to shoot at anything over 200 yards I would have to grab a bolt action.
