You're lucky. In Texas we got most of the poor population of New Orleans after Katrina. Crime trippled in 2 months.Ruffinogold wrote: ↑Sun Oct 13, 2024 7:45 pmYes .... but we are slammed here with hurricane folks from NC and Fl .... never seen so many people herePiping Abe wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 9:48 amThem North Georgia Mountains are gonna be gorgeous soon.Ruffinogold wrote: ↑Sat Oct 12, 2024 6:37 am

God and Texas!
I have since acquired a Yooper plaid wool hat and jacket from ebay and had to use them a few times. We get some near zero days up here in NE Texas. At this rate it will be handed down many times.

Wool is my favorite once the temperature starts cooling off. It keeps you warm even when wet and is breathable unlike most synthetic stuff. Top notch stuff and worth the money eBay is where I buy most of my woolen garments.Ronv69 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 3:33 pmI have since acquired a Yooper plaid wool hat and jacket from ebay and had to use them a few times. Wool socks are where its at . For synthetic type stuff , I snagged theses shirts .. actually I snagged two orders . . They don't get hot and water doesn't penetrate them . I dont know how they pull it off but they are awesome . Ill see how they do in winter but for summer , they've been the best shirts for work Ive ever wornRiff89 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2024 6:57 pmWool is my favorite once the temperature starts cooling off. One of my many prized possessions I’ve acquired through being a member here. I mentioned I was in the hunt for one of these and within a week @Chef Benny sent me one song with some other goodies.
