Aromatic Advice
I'm chiming in with Super Value. A buck an ounce if you buy a pound. The best deal in these good old U.S. of A. If you don't like it, you spent as much as you wold for an ounce of something you also wouldn't like, but, now, you have some ideal mixing tobacco. If you do like it, well, looky here! You have another 15 ounces to go!
I'm smoking the chocolate right now. It's gonna be my daily go-to for awhile. I'm not complaining. I've got another 14 ounces to go!

I have some Rum&Maple and some OTC aros I have tried and abandoned to the "maybe someday" bin. I think I will try these first. Some will probably need rehydrated. The Sutliff Rum&Maple is moist and ready to go. It will be first today in a Grabow Regal full bent billiard. Your suggestions are noted and much appreciated.

I think smokers pride black cavendish is wicked good .. simple , cool , tasty
Im much more a sutliff aro guy for the flavored blends
Sutliff Z50 black cordial is very much flavored , cool smoking , wonderful tasting and all around bad ass [ my redheaded bombshell is similar to it ]
Sutliff Chocolate Truffle is as good , just a different flavor
Sutliff smooth black and gold is creamy , smooth and wonderful
PS Optimum is nice and has tha PS profile that is damn nice
Really , theres a million . I stay away from descriptions such as tart or tangy .. run from those , imho
My advice .... try a few 1 oz samples from any of the etailers .

I have 43 blends in my cellar of which 2 are aromatics.
One is Cult Blood Red Moon, a cherry blend that is very goo and people love the smell.
The other is Sutliff Molto Dolce which is a Vanilla Caramel blend and the room mate for non smokers is pretty amazing. You cannot do better on any aromatic so don't bother trying. Sure Molto does a snap crackle and pop while you smoke. It is interesting.

I greatly like the prince shape, so many of my pipes are those and they are very slightly bent. I smoke every genre of tobacco in princes. I do have a bent Bjarne briar and two bent cobs that are dedicated to aromatics. As for aromatics blends, hope my opinions below help. Enjoy!
What I have liked:
Berry - Dan Tobacco Devil's Holiday
Cherry - KBV Dark Fired Cherry, Story Teller's Pipe Sweet Galenas
Cocoa - Two Friends English Chocolate and GH&Co Bob's Chocolate (now just CH) Flake
Fruit/Nut - Peretti Thanksgiving Day, but must have 1+ year of age otherwise it is just bland and boring
Honey - C&D Sun Bear (Black Locust version seems to be even moreso with a touch of cream, too)
Lakeland-ish/Floral - WCC Elf's Dandruff (get some before it's gone!), GH&Co. Ennerdale - Lakelandish aroma, but flavor is supposedly vanilla/fruit/nut and it tastes like all of that, yet none of that...
Vanilla - Dan Tobacco Sweet Vanilla Honeydew and MacBaren Vanilla Flake/Ready Rub/Roll Cake
Honorable mentions since they are no longer available:
KBV Sakura
Lane Wild Hare
Just meh:
Dan Tobacco Blue Note - berry
Dan Tobacco Milonga - caramel/vanilla
Story Teller's Pipe M/M Log Cabin - maple (definitely more subtle than Autumn Evening!); needs revisited though
Non-aromatics of note (seem to have aromatic qualities and are all damn good):
Newminster 400 - golden grahams
Peter Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake - coconut-ish, but not really
St. Bruno - Subtle and easy, yet complex satisfying
What was disappointing:
C&D Autumn Evening - This one is great if you want maple and waffles, but is one dimensional and becomes overwhelming
Blood Red Moon (and most other cherry blends, especially Boswell's Cherry Smash) - fake/chemically
GH&Co. Kendall Black Cherry - boring
Lane Hazelnut - missing flavor
Rattray's Exotic Passion - fake/chemically
SG Chocolate Flake - don't let the name fool you!
SG Firedance - couldn't find the berry/currant
Savinelli Brunello - boring
Solani Mango - chemically
Sutliff Molten Dulche - over the top
In the cellar and looking forward to trying:
Chacom Purple - Plum, I believe
John Alesbury Copenhagen - Nuts
John Alesbury Dragon Flake - Caramel/Vanilla
GH&Co. Cherry Vanilla
Erinmore - Pineapple, or so I've heard
SG Bothy Flake
SG Grousmoor - Lemongrass?
Vauen Oriental #2 - Coriander?
Blends I don't have, but have always been curious about:
C&D Apricots & Cream - am I crazy?
John Alesbury (was Sillem) Black
Wilke Chocolate
Wilke PB & Chocolate
