Granger seems like a good choice. It's the only pipe tobacco I've ever inhaled, without tearing up and it wont break the bank, also it's easy to find . Y.M.M.V.

Bumping this because I ordered some papers and whatnot today to be able to roll a quick smoke when it's either too damn hot or I'm busy and only have a couple of minutes. Have a good bit of three sails, ryback, and Rimboche SJ I can make a pinner from

Carter Hall and Prince Albert are pretty much cigarette tobacco.
But if there is a reservation near by, thats the way to go. Around here you can get one pound bags for $10 or less. Due to taxes these bags are labled "pipe tobacco" but it is cigarette tobacco. A lot of people around here use it.

I still think 5 brothers is excellent , It has a richness kinda like Drum and i think that profile , for a cigarette , is where its at . But Drum is expensive because its actually cut for cigarettes and is taxed as such .

Theres a crap ton of " pipe tobacco ' that people roll . Its the inexpensive stuff and the cut isnt quite ideal but its good enough . Red Cap was excellent and is discontinued Im pretty sure

One I like is 4 Aces Turkish ... And its real inexpensive ..

It's not pipe tobacco, but I recently bought some Lane Leaf rolling tobacco at Tobacco Trader. They market it as only containing tobacco and water. In the bag, it smells fantastic, like very sweet pure Virginia. I like it, smokes nice, but it's pricey and I think I prefer something with some Dark Fired in it for a taste like Drum. I guess next time I'll get some G&H shag to scratch this itch.

For a straight Virginia to roll D&R three sails seems like it's going to be tough to beat. Ryback as well. I love both of them in a pipe so I'm sure it will translate. I'll try kendal dark too. Hell, I'll try anything twice

Being the huge five brothers fan that I am, it's first on deck. That 4 Aces stuff sounds pretty fantastic too!

Do they still make Bull Durham? When I was 8 years old I would sit on the porch with my great uncle and I would roll his cigarettes in exchange for stories. Usually one cig per story.
God and Texas!
